Because I can stay up 'til 2:30am and not stress about having to wake up in five hours.
I just finished reading this month's Smart Remarks Book Club book: The Thief by Megan Something Turner. Very pleased with it. So clever. But I must save my deep thoughts for our meeting. Just wanted to say to Markie, for nominating this book, "That'll do pig, that'll do."
And I'm eagerly moving right along to the next book in the series...

By quoting one of the best movies of all time "Babe" you sealed our kindred spirits status for life.
Best movies of all time? But it's about a pig? How do you get past that?
Here, here on the Thief. I tore through it and am now 1/3 into the Queen. Good stuff.
Just got a call from the bookstore... My book is IN. Finally I can start reading.
ONE of the best KID movies of all time. I cry every time at the end. And this movie is about a pig's relationship with a human. Good stuff.
You drank a few diet Cokes in the process of course, right?
You are a reading maniac. I don't know how you do it.
We've got Spring break next week. I hope mine will be as good as yours.
Are your kids still playing drowning cats because that looks like it would be super fun.
I would say that I really want to read the book for this month and participate in the discussion but i've said that too many times and haven't done it so nobody would believe me. I'm like the boy who cried wolf...i'm like katie.
I'm a third of the way through and am hoping that it gets better. So far it hasn't captured my attention.
