Can I get an appraisal?

Landee, this isn't a one-up or a braggy braggerson or anything, but could you have Gty appraise these baseball cards for me thanks.

**Edit: Tony saw this post and got all paranoid, thinking it might attract home invaders, so, even though we have a hard-core home security system (thanks Tom) that we alarm every night and sometimes during the day, Tony asked me to add this clarification: These extremely valuable baseball cards are not on display in our home; they are on display (in this dumb frame) at The Met. (Meaning, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC). If you thought otherwise, sorry for the, er, misunderstanding. And lollerz.

If you wanna see other pictures we took of valuable baseball cards during our visit to the Met and mistake them for a picture of baseball cards hanging in our house, click here.

Baseball is sooooo boring. Umm I will give you a double decker taco from Taco Bell for it.

P.S. Can you tell I am dieting? All I can think about is Taco Bell.

Gty has some questions:

Are they originals or reprints?

aaaand

Can you take them out of that dumb frame without damaging them?

Oohh, Caleb would be so jealous!

Gty--they are originals, doy, and I don't have permission to take them out of the dumb frame.

Landee said...

Right, but if you needed to to pay the mortgage, could you?

Jenny ESP said...

^^Yes

I have a hunch that Gty and Tony would get along juuuuust fine. Just a hunch. Where were these hanging? I don't remember them in your house.

And I also want to know the appraisal. Fer realzies.

This was just a test, you gize.

Tony knows EXACTLY how much they're worth. I don't know if I want my dearsweet to be playing these reindeer games.

I can tell just by looking that weather on the day they were printed was partially cloudy and 45 degrees, and that maple was the main tree used in the manufacturing.

So what is the dollar amount. I am pretty sure I could disable you alarm.

They look so fancy. I think I am going to do that with some of Bailey's Yugio cards. Now there's a collection worth bucks.

Gosh, Landee, you went from "my husband is totally sheik and can appraise sport cards like a pro" to "my husband is totally geek and has no idea how much a simple Babe Ruth is worth." Whatsthedealio? I mean, if you're gonna one-up someone, be prepared to back that S up. (meaning "stuff")

He is refusing to take the time to figure it out. He prolly doesn't want to have a fit of jealous rage over the whole thing.

Plus his MO is gone since I told him Tony already knows.

Plus, I same-upped, remember? Doy.

OH, and picture or no picture, it's still $100-150. Maybe $200 if you're lucky and get a sucker to buy it.

^^Montana Footy.

Wow some serious competition is happening around here. We don't collect anything but dust around here.

Memzy said...

I heard that dust is the new gold tho.

::calling off majorly big plans to drive down to Vegas, break into your house, and steal baseball cards::

Do you think it's hard to break into the Met? Yeah, me either.
